Hi all, and welcome back to a new year! For those of you who took time off, I hope it was relaxing and restorative. I’m excited about the start of 2015 so good thoughts all round. And it was pretty cool coming back to see some big work by South African director Bryan Little for überband U2. While I’m not really a fan of the band, they are a major force in the music industry so it’s a big feat for a local director to work with them. Little directs renowned grafitti artist DALeast and his signature stringy animal artworks in this film set in South Africa and New York. I do wish he got to the animation sooner as it drags a little in the beginning, but it’s still a sweet story.
